The children’s dental clinic
Your child’s smile : our priority. We are committed to ensuring that children have a positive experience at our clinic, with care tailored to each individual child and practitioners trained in pediatrics. We help children understand the dental office environment and adopt, from an early age, the eating and brushing habits that will enable them to keep a healthy mouth. By reinforcing their skills, we accompany them on the road to autonomy. Our aim: to raise awareness and prepare children to be autonomous adults when it comes to their oral health and visits to the dentist.

Tailor-made care for everyone
We adapt our practice to each child’s age, anxiety and needs. We use the means at our disposal (laughing gas, hypnosis, sedation) to treat every child, even the youngest, most fragile or anxious.

Comprehensive care
We offer treatment plans that cover all the oral care a child may need: cavity care, preventive care (fluoride application, fissure sealing), scaling, orthodontic care to reposition teeth correctly or early orthodontics, interception care (to reposition the tongue or stop thumb sucking).

A serene environment
A child is not a miniature adult. We make sure to create a playful and reassuring atmosphere so that everyone feels confident. We take the time to develop a special relationship with the child, and encourage his or her progress. We use adapted teaching methods, as well as more playful media (cartoons) to enhance communication.

Common treatments in children
Fissure or fissure sealants. This is a preventive treatment performed on a healthy tooth to protect the tooth surface and facilitate brushing. After carefully cleaning and isolating the affected tooth surface, a thin layer of varnish-like adhesive resin is applied to protect the tooth surface.
Treating a cavity in a child: it’s vital to treat a cavity as early as possible, whether it’s in a permanent tooth or a baby tooth, to avoid complications and more extensive treatment. We have a number of ways of achieving pain-free, fear-free treatment. We attach great importance to the time we take to explain each step to the child, according to his or her age. We also take care to use child-friendly materials.
Interceptive treatments and functional education. To enable a child to develop and grow in a harmonious, balanced way, it’s important to ensure that he or she is breathing, swallowing and chewing correctly. By using simple exercises or temporary devices, you can help your child reposition his tongue or stop sucking his thumb, for example, and thus avoid more extensive treatment later on.
Pediatric prostheses: sometimes, as a result of an accident or multiple cavities, several teeth may be missing. To help children retain their ability to chew, speak and interact with others, we can offer them a temporary paediatric prosthesis to replace the missing teeth.
Orthodontics: preventive and functional for children, it helps restore balance to the dental arch, promotes harmonious facial growth and corrects misaligned teeth. The tools used also eliminate poor breathing, swallowing and chewing habits. Metal brackets adhere to the outer surfaces of the teeth, and these brackets allow the orthodontist to move the teeth toward the desired result.
Surgery: treating a wound in the mouth, extracting a baby or permanent tooth, removing a labial or lingual frenulum that prevents the teeth from aligning correctly, treating a cyst – we take care of it calmly and efficiently.
Accidents: small or large accidents can affect the mouth and teeth.
In all these situations, the first reflex is to REASSURE the child. Dental accidents can be frightening, but can often be resolved with simple treatment.

Our care protocol

Step 1 Consultation
The first consultation should take place as early as possible, ideally as soon as the first teeth appear. The aim of a first consultation at the dental surgery at an early age is to enable the child and his or her parents to get to know the dental team and the dental environment, and to receive appropriate advice. During this initial consultation, we determine the child’s specific needs, his or her risk for cavities, and the treatment and preventive measures he or she requires. We’ll take the time to describe each step of what’s to come, the aim being to establish a treatment plan tailored to each child, as well as a follow-up protocol.

Step 2 Performing care
We adapt the number of sessions and their duration to the child’s age, while striving to reduce the number of treatment sequences. We are guided by the child’s comfort.

Step 3 Follow-up
We set up a follow-up program adapted to the child’s caries risk and needs. Our aim is to offer children and their parents the keys to good oral and dental health.

Step 4
Immediate and long-term follow-up according to a personalized protocol.
